For builders
The paperwork is the job that never ends.
We do it by hand, then automate it.
Change-order retypes that miss the latest addendum, deposit chases that lose a paid invoice, supplier quote follow-ups that linger a week after the call, the job-cost packet that lands on the bookkeeper’s desk the morning after the deadline. The builders & general contractors we talked to this week all named the same four. We pick one of those, run it by hand alongside your team for a couple of weeks, and only then build the workflow that does it forever.
The method, in three
Three steps. In a fixed order. No demo on day one.
Same four-step method as the home page, condensed to the three a builder / GC shop actually feels. The audit and the build are still there — they just run after the manual pass.
- STEP 01
Spend a morning alongside your team
We come in on a real day. We watch the change order arrive by text, get re-typed into a spreadsheet and a CRM, the deposit BACS land without a matching paper trail, the supplier quote sit unanswered for two days. The workflow is mostly paper, mostly in someone’s head. We name it together.
- STEP 02
Run it by hand, alongside your team
For two or three weeks we do it ourselves — the change-order rekey, the deposit-receipt ledger, the supplier-quote follow-up, the job-cost packet → bookkeeper handoff — alongside the people who already carry it. Same tools, same headaches, real customers.
- STEP 03
Only then automate, against the audited baseline
If the manual pass proved the hours, we scope the agent or Make flow against that baseline. If it didn’t, the engagement still paid for itself — and you keep the receipts.

Tell us what your shop is doing by hand today.
Name the one workflow that costs your project manager the most hours. We will read everything that lands in this inbox and tell you, within two working days, whether it is the one we would pick — and when we could come in alongside.
- Trade registration #, service-area postcode, current job-tracking tool — all optional, all on the form so we can scope the workshop to your shop.
- Submissions flow into Punchlist Studio’s inbox the same way every other lead on this site does.
- NDA before the workshop if your pricing, customer list, or job notes are sensitive.
